Story,sufi, snack



Well for some reason this was the funniest thing I read all week. Just tickled me.

A sufi story about a philosopher who was to call upon a wisdom teacher.He arrives for his appointment , the house is empty. He is furious. He takes a piece of chalk ( we assume here that philosophers, in sufi stories ,carry chalk as standard practice) and writes on the teacher's gate 'stupid oaf '.
When the teacher got home he saw the message and ran to the philosopher's home. " I am so sorry ,I had forgotten our appoinment , I remembered the minute I saw you had written your name on my gate' !

I love this, how usually it is the stuff that annoys us most in others is what we dislike most in ourselves. Watch what sets you off and see if they aren't the little things you wish you didn't do !
